Introduction Enfield Leisure Centres Limited (ELCL) was founded in 1999 and is a "Not for Profit" Leisure Trust managing the leisure facilities in the London Borough of Enfield on behalf of Enfield Council.
ELCL is structured as an Industrial Provident Society whose society objectives are to promote any charitable purpose predominantly for the benefit of the general public in the London borough of Enfield, including the advancement of education, the protection of health and the provision of facilities for recreation and leisure-time occupations in the interest of social welfare.
Staff and Community We are an employee owned society operating facilities for the benefits of the community. As a "Not for Profit" organisation ELCL distributes any profits generated back into its services and community. Our board is made up of staff representatives, customer or community representatives and Council members. The day to day management of the organisation is the responsibility of an experienced senior management team.
What we manage ELCL manage a wide range of leisure facilities offering sport and leisure opportunities for the whole community. Facilities range from superb swimming for the serious competitor to the casual lane swimming at five facilities, state of the art health and fitness facilities at Albany, Edmonton, Edmonton County Lower School, Southbury and Southgate Leisure Centres.
Staff We have around 200 staff both full and part-time who are trained and developed to the highest standards of customer service and safety. ELCL have during the last 5 years maintained its Investors in People (IiP) accreditation. Staff elected to sit on the board can make a real difference to the strategic direction of the organisation
