Southgate Leisure Centre now has a cafe. Feel free to use the facilities and relax with a coffee afterwards. Although it is not managed by the Centre an agreement has been entered into whereby users producing their centre receipt will gain 10% off any purchase from the cafe!!!! Maybe you can ask about the futher developments to 'your' centre whilst you are here?

We are pleased to be able to announce the launch of our aspire health & beauty services at Southgate Leisure Centre which happened in September 2008.

Started 27 July from 5.25pm - 6.25pm and going from strength to strength.
What's available?
Swim
Sauna and Steam
Exclusive use of the swimming pool by females(although male lifeguards may be on duty for the safety of all the centre's customers)
Monday - Fridays
Adult 'Early Birds' swimming sessions.
Monday and Friday 7.00am - 9.00am
Tuesday - Thursday 6.00am - 9.00am
Adult lunchtime swim every weekday from 12.00 noon - 1.00pm.
The pool then closes for 30 minutes to allow for cleaning before public Swimming starts on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday - Public swimming from 1.30pm - 9.45pm
Friday - Public Swimming from 1.30pm - 6.45pm
Wednesday - There is no public swimming in the afternoon/evening to allow for staff training and Council lessons for children.
Normal pool rules apply during public swimming sessions and children between 5 and 8 years must be accompanied by a swimming adult on a 1 adult to 2 children basis. Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied on a 1:1 basis.
Adults must accompany children in the pool itself and cannot sit around the poolside whilst their under 8 year old children are in the pool on their own.
