Guidelines for Health & Fitness
- Use the lockers - do not take or leave bags, coats or belongings to any of the activity areas.
- Ensure you wear appropriate clothing (no jeans) and footwear with non-marking soles in the fitness areas.
- Water and flat drinks should be sipped frequently throughout your work-out or class. There are vending machines and water fountains nearby to ensure you stay hydrated!
- Instructors will screen all customers at the start of each class (fitness or swimming) or at your fitness induction, on your first visit to the Fitness Suite.
- Inform the instructor, before commencing, if you have any serious illness or injuries, i.e. asthma, epilepsy, heart condition, are pregnant or have recently had a baby, knee injuries, back problems, or any other similar injuries. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- Only use equipment as advised by your instructor.
- Children under 16 are not allowed in the Fitness Suite, unless Junior Fitness Member (14-15yrs only).
- A towel is recommended for more energetic classes.
- Tickets are available 30 minutes before the start of each class and you may be refused entry if you do not ARRIVE ON TIME.
- Fitness Studio activities are subject to programming and availability.
- In the interest of health & hygiene Albany Leisure Centre is a Non-Smoking & Non-Chewing Gum centre.
